Translating POAs is nothing new to us. We will need a day or two for a standard form POA (but please allow extra time for rare languages). Accurate translation is always a priority, so we make sure to double-check all the important data. As a result, you will receive a proofread and well-formatted document. Additionally, we can certify or notarize it – just let us know what suits your needs.

In terms of translation, what is so special about a POA?
We have a lot of translators experienced enough to deliver a quality translation of a legal document like POA. But we pay extra attention to how well we check details like names, numbers and dates. It is also important to decide properly between notarized and certified translation.
Double-check: important data and standard expressions
Since we usually deal with scans and photos of POAs, our translators have to manually type all the details, risking to make mistakes and typos. To avoid this, we arrange proofreading for every translation.
Here is what we review especially thoroughly:
- names and surnames;
- passport details;
- company names;
- addresses;
- dates, digits, sums, and the like.
A lot of standard phrases are used in POAs, and most of them already have established equivalents in the target language. However, if we are unsure, we will first check with the similar official documents to find the most commonly used phrase.
Our translators also consider cultural specifics. For example, you can often see in a German document that a company was registered under No. B 33333 (legal name of a company). We know that B here means the company was registered in German Commercial Register, part B. So, we clarify this in our translation into Russian.
Another example: European postcodes have letters that indicate a country code. When translating into Russian, we do not keep those letters as they are. Instead, we add the full name of the country, to make things clear.
Translated POA: how will it look like?
We will translate your POA in full, paying attention to every detail, such as stamps, logos, signatures, etc. We will try and format the translated file close to original at no extra charge. The following things will stay the same:
- original position of main blocks of text;
- text formatting (capital letters, bolding, italicising, and underlining);
- stamps and signatures (we will mark their original position);
- original number of pages, if possible.
