Seals and stamps are not just images — they contain text presented in a specific format, which also requires translation. We regularly translate seals both as part of the full document and as standalone items, ensuring they are properly formatted and ready for certification.

By the way If only a seal requires translation, we will include the document’s title and key details—such as the holder’s personal information and issue date—for proper identification. We will also indicate that the main text of the document is already in the target language.

Thorough translation

We make every effort to translate the seal in full, leaving no detail out — whether it’s a finely printed Tax ID (INN) or an abbreviated university name in parentheses.

Important It is not always possible to decipher the information on a seal (faded, worn, poor-quality copy). In such cases, we mark the untranslatable part as "illegible." We recommend checking how critical this is for the institution receiving the documents.

We Consider Notary Requirements for Formatting

We have extensive experience translating and notarizing documents, so we will work efficiently and format the translation to be accepted by any institution.

When notarizing a seal translation, we account for the following:

  • We consider the placement of seals/stamps in the original document and the letter case.
  • In the translation, we indicate the type of impression (seal or stamp).
  • If the seal is embossed or placed on a document binding stitch, we note this feature.
  • If a document contains two or more identical seals, we indicate their quantity.
  • If the text of a seal and a stamp is duplicated, they are formatted separately in the translation.

We Certify Seals on Different Documents with a Discount

Multiple seals on a single document are certified as one document. Seals on different documents are certified separately, but a discount applies for certifying two or more documents.

Attention! Most often, translated seals require notarization because the request comes from government agencies. If our agency's stamp certification is sufficient, we are happy to provide that.

In most cases, you will receive the translation by the next business day, even if certification services are required. A longer timeframe is only set during periods of high demand. If you need it faster, we can offer rush translation at a premium rate.
